I'm Cassie, trail name: Mountain Cat. My thru hiking journey started in 2018 when I hiked the Appalachian Trail northbound. It was on the trail that I learned that my true purpose in life was to live free, that I was not meant for a 9 to 5 and would never return to one. I've been manifesting and creating my own reality ever since. In 2020 I hiked the International AT Maine section southbound and then headed south on the AT through the winter, my dog Sawyer accompanying me for 1200 miles of the trek. In 2023 I hiked the Arizona Trail and the Mid State Trail through PA. In 2024 I thru paddled the Northern Forest Canoe Trail from NY to ME.

When I'm not backpacking I am usually traveling somewhere, it's rare for me to stay in one place for more than a couple weeks. I love walks in the woods, searching for skulls, bones, and feathers. I spend a lot of time reading, mostly books about feminine embodiment, spirituality, cyclical living, and herbal remedies.
