Zero Day #3 (Leadville)
Did not sleep well last night. We had to be out of here by 10 am so we got up and moving, packing our groceries into paper bags and shoving things carelessly into our packs for the short walk to the hostel. We dropped our packs off in the common area and sat outside at the picnic tables talking to a couple we had met on trail a few days earlier. To pass the time until our room was ready we decided to walk around town some. I bought more electrolytes and a beautiful pair of beaded earrings.

I made an appointment to get an IV infusion tomorrow in Breckenridge after discovering there is a free bus that will take you there from Leadville. I really hope it brings me back from the brink of death. After that we plan to take the bus back here and then hitch back to trail. Even feeling like shit I have to admit I am getting antsy and tired of spending money in this town. Around 11:30 we headed back to the Abbey where we checked in, laid around in bed then headed to Safeway to finish our resupply.

We also stopped at the post office to send some stuff home and lighten our packs. No diarrhea today which is good but still some nausea and stomach cramps and no appetite whatsoever. I had soup for lunch and read my book while Henry napped. Relaxed in an Epsom salt bath and got French Dip for dinner but could barely eat half. Now time to shower and get ready for bed because our bus to Breckenridge leaves at 6:20 tomorrow morning for my IV appointment.
